Bondi Beach is an icon not only of Australia, but of the world ! Voted one of the world's most famous beaches, Bondi Beach is rich in culture and is home to a diverse population of locals from actors, to backpackers to surfies, to fashionista's to alternative lifestyles. There are a huge range of activities to enjoy from swimming to shopping to eating to exploring to socialising. Bondi has it all!
One of the top reasons for going to Sydney is the close proximity of the excellent beach lifestyle to the city centre, which is only a short drive, bus or cab ride away.
Try the quaint Bronte cafe's for breakfast and and then doing the cliff-walk to Bondi via Tamarama Beach. It depends how fast you walk but you should be able to make it to Bondi for lunch at the many stunning restaurants overlooking the beach.
Bondi is more than just the beach, there are many excellent cafes, seafood restaurants, bars & clubs as well as good shopping on the seafront and all the way back to Bondi Junction. If you scout around the back streets of Bondi, you will find interesting designer stores where you can bag a baargain at the height of fashion!
